I'm leaving Korea for good (handing back my registration card)

외국인등록증 반납

People leaving permanently, people who have acquired Korean nationality, and people whose status has ended

Sometimes an agent can do this for you. Ask us and we will check.
🔴 If you are only going out for a short while and plan to come back, do not hand it in. Handing it in cancels your alien registration and you have to register all over again from the beginning. People who have acquired Korean nationality face a fine of up to 1 million won if they do not hand it back within 30 days of completing their resident registration.

Leave a question

Just leave one way to reach you. We check it, pass it to an administrative agent, and the agent contacts you directly.

We only take your request and pass it to an administrative agent. You pay us nothing.

The more you write, the faster the agent can answer you.

It does not have to be a Korean number. Choose the country in the box before this one, and write only the number here.

We do not check what you write, and we do not report it to anyone. We do not tell employers either.

The year and month you are allowed to stay until. Look for the period of stay on your ARC (foreigner ID card), not the card's issue date. It is fine if you are not sure.

The contract has to be signed face to face, so we ask where you live only to connect you with an agent near you.

More options Optional

What you write and your contact go only to the administrative agent handling this. We do not tell your employer. The agent tells you the cost directly.
