🔴 This belongs exclusively to the employment center and its designated agencies, and it is the company (the employer) who applies. The 3-year re-employment application window is from 3 months to 7 days before the expiry date, and the sincere worker re-entry one is from 1 month to 7 days before; pass the 7-day mark and the extension is blocked and you have to leave the country. The re-entry special case is only for people who have never changed workplace. After you get the extension confirmation you still have to get your period of stay extended separately at immigration.

Papers you usually need
- Application to extend the work period, or application for a re-entry employment permit
- The extended standard labor contract (1 year or longer for re-entry)
- Business registration certificate (사업자등록증); for farming and livestock, the farm business registration confirmation (농업경영체 등록확인서)
- Copies of your passport and Alien Registration Card (외국인등록증)
