🔴 This is a system where the worker applies directly to the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (the body that runs industrial accident insurance), not to the company. Even if the company refuses to process it as an industrial accident or wants to settle it privately, you can apply on your own. Industrial accident insurance covers every worker regardless of status. The claim expires after 3 years. This belongs to certified labor attorneys and lawyers; free counseling is on 1588-0075.

Papers you usually need
- Application for medical care benefits (요양급여 신청서)
- First medical opinion form (초진 소견서), written by the hospital
- A written account of how the accident happened
- The employer's confirmation document (you can still apply even if the employer refuses)
- Copies of your passport and Alien Registration Card (외국인등록증)
