I want to bring someone from abroad over to Korea

사증발급인정서 발급 신청 (초청)

Korean companies, institutions and families inviting a foreigner (E-7 hiring, research and training invitations, and so on)

An administrative agent can do this for you.
The certificate is valid for 3 months and can only be used for one visa issuance. After the certificate comes through, the person still has to get the visa themselves at the Korean embassy or consulate where they are, and that fee is separate.

Papers you usually need
  • Application for a Certificate of Visa Issuance Confirmation (사증발급인정 신청서)
  • A letter explaining why you are inviting the person
  • Documents on the inviter's identity and status (business registration certificate, proof of employment)
  • Copy of the invited person's passport and a photo
  • Documents for the visa type (employment contract, family relation certificate, etc.)

The year and month you are allowed to stay until. Look for the period of stay on your ARC (foreigner ID card), not the card's issue date. It is fine if you are not sure.

The contract has to be signed face to face, so we ask where you live only to connect you with an agent near you.
